Preparing for Winter

Up and Growing

It’s been a wet, wet April so far, which has limited us a little in the field, but we’ve been super busy in our new greenhouse.  We have all the space we could want and have been super pleased so far with how everything is growing.  This year, we’re making all our own potting mix so we know exactly what goes in it and can cater to what the plants need. And just because it might be a little cold outside still, doesn’t mean we haven’t had summer stuff on the brain since last month!  The greenhouse is currently loaded with tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, etc....

First Impressions

It’s hard to believe it has already been one month here! So far it has been an absolute joy to spend my days in the fresh air in great fellowship, growing great food, and learning about the land. When I came to the farm, I had a few expectations of the ways I would see myself grow through this experience. I can already see the potential for growth beyond what I’d previously imagined.
