FAQs:

  • How many guests may we have at our wedding? The maximum capacity for the Historic Bank Barn is 120.

  • May we rent a tent to accommodate more guests? At this time, tents are not permitted.

  • Is the Bank Barn air-conditioned? No it is not. There are large doors on either side and so it does get great cross ventilation. This is why we only book weddings in May/June and September/October.

  • What’s included in the $7000 venue fee? The venue fee includes access to the following spaces:

    • (2) Dressing Rooms to get ready in the Historic Stone House (beginning at 3:00pm)

    • Ceremony Space (typically the grounds behind the Historic Stone House)

    • Cocktail Hour Space (typically the Silo Green)

    • Reception Space (Historic Bank Barn)

    • Rain Plan (Indoor options for both Ceremony and Cocktail Hour)

  • Is there an indoor option for the Ceremony if the weather is bad? There sure is! In the case of inclement weather, your Ceremony would be held inside the Historic Bank Barn. And we may be partial, but the sound of rain on the tin roof adds an extra bit of romance to the whole thing.

  • Is there a place for each of us to get ready with our wedding party? There are two spacious and separate rooms in the Historic Stone House for you and your attendants/VIPs, along with bathrooms and a full kitchen. You may arrive at 3pm the day of your wedding.

  • Can our dog be part of our ceremony? Because Rocklands is a working farm, you will often spot a free-ranging chicken or duck wandering the property or even one of our friendly barn cats. In order to keep all the animals safe (yours and ours), we do not allow dogs on the property.

  • How late can we stay at the farm? Your reception can run until 11pm and all guests and belongings will need to be offsite by midnight. We pride ourselves in being good neighbors.

  • Are there overnight accommodations on the farm? Not at this time. There are multiple options for your out-of-town guests in the nearby Rio Lakefront area. Shuttle bus service can be arranged through our caterer.

  • What is the policy for outside alcohol? You may serve either Rocklands Wine or beer. Wine selections can be found here (we invite you to come for a tasting!) and beer selections are handled through our caterer.

  • We are hoping to have a full farm-to-table event. Can Rocklands make this happen? We sure can! From meats and wine to seasonal produce and flowers, Rocklands can make all your locally-sourced-farm-to-table dreams come true. Make sure to mention this in your inquiry!
