Since 2012, Rocklands Farm Winery has had the honor of hosting hundreds of weddings, each one a completely singular event. At Rocklands, couples have the ability to make their celebration uniquely their own. Our in-house staff, along with our curated list of preferred vendors, will help you decide on each important detail. From the menu and wine pairings, to the linens, table settings, and our wildcrafted florals, our 34 acre farm is perfect for couples seeking natural beauty and authentic rustic charm.

FAQs

  • How many guests may we have at our wedding? The maximum capacity at Rocklands is 120, including the couple.

  • May we rent a tent to accommodate more guests? At this time, tents are not permitted.

  • Is the Bank Barn air-conditioned? No it is not. There are large doors on either side so it does get great cross ventilation. This is why we only book weddings in May, June, September and October. The only climate controlled spaces at Rocklands are the Stone House and the Tasting Room.

  • What’s included in the venue fee?

    • Everything listed above in the We Offer section

    • Access to spaces begins at 3:00pm and ends at 11:00pm, with vendors departing at midnight

    • Rain plan for any parts of the wedding that are planned for outdoors

    • Wedding wine tasting for the couple and up to four guests

    • Final walkthrough one month before the wedding

    • Ability to drop off and pickup personal items the day before the wedding

  • What’s NOT included in the venue fee?

    • We require couples to purchase one case of Rocklands wine for every 30 guests

    • Catering and bartending services, officiant, photographer, band/DJ, hair and makeup artists, wedding cake or other desserts, shuttle bus service, and any other outside vendors that you might hire to make your day special

  • Is there a place for each of us to get ready with our wedding party? Yes! There are two spacious and separate rooms in the historic Stone House for you and your wedding party, along with a dining room and bathroom.

  • Can our dog be part of our ceremony? Yes! While Rocklands is a working farm, and you will often spot a free-ranging chicken or duck wandering the property, we will allow well-behaved and leashed dogs on a case-by-case basis.

  • How late can we stay at the farm? We pride ourselves in being good neighbors. Your reception can run until 11:00pm and all guests must depart by this time. Vendors must be offsite by midnight.

  • Are there overnight accommodations on the farm? Not at this time. There are multiple options for accommodations in Bethesda, Rockville, and the Rio Lakefront areas.

  • What is the policy for outside alcohol? We require that Rocklands wine is served at your wedding. No outside wine is permitted. Beer and cocktails may be procured through a caterer or bartender.

  • We are hoping to have a full farm to table event. Can Rocklands make this happen? We sure can! From meats and wine, to seasonal produce and flowers, Rocklands can make all your locally sourced farm to table dreams come true. Make sure to mention this in your inquiry!
