Celebrating Baby Abrahamian at Rocklands Farm
When Arin and Tanya first walked into our Bank Barn, they stopped. The exposed beams, the worn wood floors, the way the light comes through - it reminded them immediately of the barn where they got married. They knew before the tour was over that this was where they wanted to celebrate their baby. This past summer, they brought their closest family and friends together for a co-ed baby shower at Rocklands Farm in Poolesville, Maryland. The space was full of people who love each other, Rocklands wine flowing freely, and some of the most beautiful flowers we have grown on the farm. The decor was thoughtful and personal. Long farm tables were set with vintage floral plates and linen runners, a wicker pram overflowed with fresh blooms, and pink and cream roses were tucked into baskets throughout the barn. All of the flowers were grown right here at Rocklands, in shades of dusty rose, burgundy, and blush, mixed with white daisies and delicate garden stems that felt gathered rather than arranged. A farm-grown floral arrangement hits differently when you know the flowers came from the same fields your guests are looking out at.
Arin gave a toast. Tanya glowed. And baby Abrahamian had a pretty perfect welcome party waiting for them.
